Our Founder - Connie Grant

Behind any non-profit organization is someone who has been led to serve their community and help others, no matter what it takes. Someone with a drive to do good and spread kindness. The founder for Grow in Grace Outreach Services Inc., Connie Grant, fits this description perfectly. Connie has a passion for growing her community by spreading light and love through helping families who have been victims of circumstance.

Connie is from Bluffton, South Carolina and is the mother of three children. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where she started Grow in Grace. Connie received a Master of Education degree from Cambridge college. She has compassion for all people and has always had a love for local missions to help reach others. After consistent prayer and asking for God’s guidance, Grow in Grace Outreach Services, Inc. was established in July 2014. Her mission for Grow in Grace is to encourage the healthy developmental growth of children (spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically) to assist in creating strong families. She has a desire to prevent homelessness and to maintain physical unification of families for those who cannot remain in their homes of origin due to family disruption caused by abuse, neglect, abandonment, or who has not adjusted to foster care. Connie is familiar with obstacles such as poor credit, difficulty in attaining safe and affordable housing, lacking a community or family support, poor education or life skills, mental illness/disabilities, and unemployment, all which so many young single mothers face.

Connie’s mission for Grow in Grace is to provide a long-term supportive environment for individuals who are 21 years of age and younger, and for their children, who need a loving home. She wants to provide a sense of stability and to prepare young adults and young mothers for the various obstacles they may encounter. Grow in Grace provides these young ladies with training in life skills such as budgeting, use of credit, housekeeping, menu planning, food preparation and, when necessary, parenting skills. She hopes that through training and a stable living space, these ladies will have opportunities to pursue educational or vocational goals, and receive support so they can reach their full potential. It can also give them the opportunity to focus on their personal growth and exercise leadership and communication skills in a safe environment.

Grow in Grace relies fully on volunteers, and the biggest volunteer of all is Connie. She puts forth so much of her own time and effort for the organization. She truly has a vision to help provide comfort and grace to young ladies who desperately need it. Everyone at Grow in Grace is so thankful for her and can’t wait to see Connie continue working in what she loves.
