Blessing in Disguise
John 16:21 “A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgers the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.” The world likes to have its own view of pregnancy, specifically teen pregnancy, but God knows that every child is a blessing. The story of Hagar is a perfect example of this. She was unwanted and had been rejected from society because she was carrying a married man’s child. She had been abused by her mistress Sarai. Genesis 16:6 says, “Abram replied to Sarai, ‘here, your slave is in your hands; do whatever you want with her.’ Then Sarai mistreated her so much that she ran away from her.” Hagar had nowhere to turn. She was pregnant and alone, but God had made plans for her that was going to change the direction of her life forever. The Lord promised her that he would multiply her descendants, and there would too many to count. Genesis 16:9 says. “Then the angel of the Lord told her, ‘
